After briefly dabbling with photography, my dreams of creating colourful
and structural surfaces led me to studying textile design at the Estonian
Academy of Arts. I graduated in 1996.
Since graduating, I have designed and created textiles. This is my work, my hobby, my passion.
The materials I use are high-quality and mostly natural: silk, linen, wool. I also incorporate upcycled fabrics, sourced from cutting waste provided by local manufacturers. Each item is created with the intention that it will be truly needed by someone – that it will resonate and find a place in someone’s life.
Photography is my second great passion.
Naturally and organically, it has become intertwined with my textile design – nature photographs have evolved into patterns and designs that are brought to life on fabric through digital printing. I often use elements derived from photos as design details, adding uniqueness and depth to the final pieces.
